Dear entrepreneur or coach (and future ones too),

This morning I was sitting in a coffee shop reviewing my notes from a webinar hosted by Brendon Burchard last night. I was reading his tips for having the most productive year possible and one thing really stood out from the rest. He advised that everyone should have a group of ten trusted advisers when we want to create massive change in our lives and businesses. Immediately, I had the idea for this mastermind. I’m part of one mastermind and then lead another one. They have had such an incredible impact on my life and the future of my coaching business. But what if I created a new one with the single purpose of focusing on making sure that you actually do what you set out to do?

If you are reading this, I know you have most likely set out to achieve specific results for your business, yet somehow six months to a year went by and you never actually followed through. It is time to push past the resistance and begin to achieve the things you set out to accomplish.

Imagine your wildest dreams and truly achieving them. 

If you have never heard of a mastermind, I would like to use the words of Napoleon Hill:

It is the “coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

I learned the following from Dan Miller, NY Times Best Selling Author of 48 Days to the Work You Love:

I see many people struggling to develop an idea, a business, or just their personal growth without taking advantage of this principle. I have always been fascinated with the concept of “synergy” – that phenomenon whereby the total equals more than the sum of the parts (e.g. 1+1=3). This may not hold water with the mathematicians but conceptually it does make sense. We are told that one Belgian horse can pull about 8,000 lbs. So we would think logically that two Belgian horses in a yoke could pull about 16,000 lbs. But the truth is that together they can pull about 25,000 lbs and with a little training they will go to nearly 32,000 lbs. That’s twice what we could mathematically expect. But that’s the incredible power of the mastermind principle. It’s the unique combination of power that comes from working together and from the spiritual power from above that is added to the process.

There is an unbelievable power in a group because of the synergy that is created. Like most entrepreneurs where you spend so much of your time as a solopreneur, it is incredibly rewarding to be surrounded by like minded individuals. One other benefit is that you are going to surround yourself with people who also desire to create momentum in their lives. Like a NASCAR race, each person has to commit to winning, but we can each draft off each other.

This mastermind’s “definite purpose” will be to clearly define what you want to achieve in your business (and personal life) and then build the framework that will make sure you act immediately and focus the majority of your time on only those actions that will create the results you desire most. It will be limited to only ten seats. We will meet every other week virtually via a teleconference line. As the “host,” I will make sure that the meetings remain structured and productive to respect the time each of us are investing every week. The meetings will start and end on time. We will use a portion of each meeting for at least one member of the group to pitch an idea or goal and then the group will give that member immediate feedback on his or her plan.

In addition, each meeting will be structured to create an environment for the following:
