Are you talking to your customers?

Are you actually having a discussion with potential clients, with current customers, with strangers?  Or are you just trying to “sell” your products?

A lot of people focus on profits and therefore “talk” to steer the conversation into a sale.  However, what if we just talked to people (friends and strangers) to get to know more about them.  They will want to know more about you (eventually) and then you can introduce them to what you have to offer.

One avenue to success is investing time and energy into others without looking for something in return.  Those who give of themselves are much more attractive than any deal out there.
